On June 7, 2023, a sunny warm day, Bob (Robert) Ward Jr. took his last breaths on this earth surrounded by his daughters at Adena Medical Center in Chillicothe, Ohio.
Born on September 5, 1959, to Robert Ward Sr. and Phyllis Ward of Hillsboro Ohio, Bob grew up with his two younger brothers, Mike (Sherry) and Larry (Joyce) Ward. No stranger to pain, Bob was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis in his teenage years, but that wouldn't slow him down. Bob married his high school sweetheart Brenda Jordan on August 12, 1978, and the two soon started a family. Stacey (Matt Renison) was born in 1982 with Katielynn (Mark Clifford) soon to follow in 1989. Bob also had the pleasure of having a special nephew, Erik Jordan, live with the family and Bob loved him like a son.
Bob was an excellent mechanic and for years worked at Rotroff Garage in Hillsboro. He then moved over to Airborne on their maintenance crew. Hearing Bob's stories about his coworkers and projects, you could see the excitement and joy in his eyes. There was not much Bob could not fix. He had a talent for getting things done no matter what barrier he was faced with. Bob had a heart of gold and loved animals of all kinds, but if you really wanted to see his heart shine, it was for his grandchildren. Being a grandpa was important to Bob, and you could find him with his shadow Hayden playing or snuggling together, or with Nolan talking about cars and Lilly his little princess who loved his hugs.
Bob was proceeded in death by his father and mother Robert and Phyllis Ward, father-in-law and mother-in-law Charles and Shirley Jordan and his wife of 41 years Brenda. Leaving behind many nephews and cousins, and a brother-in-law Roger Jordan, Bobby will be deeply missed. Although we know deep down in heaven right now, there is a pain free Bob with a full head of hair, working on a big block Chevy surrounded by the loved ones that were waiting on him. We would also like to thank the kind staff of Adena Medical Center for their care and support. Graveside services will be held at Dunkard Ridge Cemetery at 1:00 PM Tuesday September 5, 2023 for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the
