Sandra K. "Sandy" Waddell, 57 years of Hillsboro, passed away on Saturday December 16, 2023.
Sandy was born on December 13, 1966, in Hillsboro, the daughter of the late Emery "Slim" and Mildred Opal (Pollard) Purdom. Besides her parents, she is also preceded by her husband, Kevin Waddell, grandson, Luke Fugett, sister, Geneva Slusher, brothers, Daryl and Ronald Purdom and special nephew, Freddie Waddell, Jr.
Sandy is survived by her son, Derek (Kristin) Wait of Hillsboro, daughter, Shiana (Matt) Fugett of Hillsboro, three grandchildren, Matthew Fugett, Jr, Lillie Fugett and Cindorella Wait, two special friends, Linda Caplinger and Eddie Ellis, brothers, Kenny (Beverly) Purdom of Hillsboro and Jerry (Cori) Purdom of New Vienna, sisters, Debbie Sellman of Hillsboro, Judy (John) Thery of Hillsboro, Margie (Duane) Lind of Hillsboro and Peggy Purdom of Hillsboro, several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Thursday December 21, 2023, at the Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Hillsboro.
Friends may call from 1:00 PM until time of services on Thursday at the Thompson Funeral Home.
