Aaron Evans, 92 years of Highland, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2009 at the Ohio Veterans Home.
He was born in Adams County, Ohio on March 7, 1917 the son of the late George and Iva Davis Evans.
Aaron was an Army Veteran of World War II, a member of the V.F.W. Peebles Post #1029, the D.A.V. Post #71, and the American Legion Post #594.
He is survived by one son and daughter law; Gary and Donna Evans of Peebles, four daughters and sons-in-law; Sylvia Baker of Peebles, Stella and Randy Fristoe of Clinton, Tennessee, Rae and Wes Nichols of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and Faye and Mike Stapleton of West Union, twelve grandchildren, fourteen grandchildren, and special friend Peachie Eubanks.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Mike Bender officiating. Burial will follow in Jaybird Cemetery.
Friends may call on Monday from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles.
