Albert J. Vanderpool, 72 years of Winchester, passed away on Tuesday November 1, 2016 at the Bethesda North Hospital.
He was born in Jellico, TN on June 26, 1944, the son of the late Verdie and Martha (Hamblin) Vanderpool. Besides his parents he was also preceded by his wife, Ellen (Wills) Vanderpool on February 6, 2011, daughter, De'bra Vanderpool and sister, Violet Stidham.
Albert retied, after 32 years, from General Motors and was a Parts Inspector in Kettering, OH.
Albert is survived by three daughters, Stephanie Hess of Dayton, Monica (Jeremy) Gray of Columbus and Deanna (T.J.) Chamber of Hillsboro, three brothers, H.C. Vanderpool of North Carolina, Robert Vanderpool of Kentucky and Ronnie Vanderpool of Tennessee, two sisters, Barbara Williford of Kentucky and Dorothy Dixion of Kentucky, six grandchildren: Megan Hess, Tabitha Hess, Gideon Hess, Janelle Hess, Christian Gray and Caleb Chambers and two great grandchildren, Justin White-Leonard and Corbin White-Leonard.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, November 7, 2016 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Pastor Greg Roberts will officiate with burial to follow in the New Market Baptist Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
