Alena Stevens

Alena "Adene" Stevens, 85 years of Peebles, passed away on Friday May 27, 2016 at Heartland of Hillsboro.

She was born in Jackson, KY on September 13, 1930, the daughter of the late Homer and Evalee (Taulbee) Banks. Besides her parents she was also preceded by her husband, James Stevens on January 2, 2002 and her daughter, Barbara Sue Stevens.

Adene is survived by her four daughters, Sharon Stevens of Peebles, Mary Myers of Peebles, Carol (Todd Cumberland) Rhoads of Hillsboro and Doris (Aaron) Gilliam of Xenia, two brothers, Edgar (Pauline) Allen, Jr. of Jackson, KY and Lee (Lucille) Allen of Campton, KY, three sisters, Irene Overbee of Lexington, KY, Pauline Nelson of Richmond, KY and Phyllis Wall of Richmond, KY, seven grandchildren: Diana (Jared) Grooms, Christina (Josh Profitt) Rhoads, Sarah Anderson, Amy Myers, Corey Clark, Tyrese Cumberland and Kyle Gilliam and three great grandchildren, Johnathan Rhoads, Alena D. Boatrite and Hunter James Profitt, several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday June 1, 2016 at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Locust Grove Cemetery.
