Alvin B. Cassner, 88 years of Naples, FL, passed away on Friday, October 11, 2002 in FL.

He was born in Chicago, IL on November 3, 1913 the son of John and Ida LaVictor Cassner.

He was a member of the Hillsboro 1st. Presbyterian Church, member of the Snow Hill Country Club.

Founder and President of Rotary Forms Press, Inc.in Hillsboro, Unit Sets, Inc. in Wilmington, Computer Stock Forms, Inc. in Greenfield and Quality Computer Forms in Naples, FL. Started Rotary Forms Press, Inc. in 1952. Re-located the business to Hillsboro in 1957. Was Business Forms Professional of the year in 1985.

Alvin was active in the community with donations from the Cassner Foundation to the Athletic Buildings at Hillsboro and McClain High Schools, contributions to the Highland County Society for Children and Adults, donations to the local police and fire departments and five yearly $2000.00 scholarships for Highland County High School Seniors. Both Alvin B. and Alice Cassner was proud to call Hillsboro home and they were dedicated to giving back to the community and helping the youth of Highland County.

Beside his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Alice E. Cassner on November 2, 2000, and sons Alvin, Eric and Glen Cassner.

He is survived by sons, Jon Cassner of Hillsboro and Carl Cassner of Hillsboro, grandchildren Cathy Cassner of Hillsboro, Janette Mike Emery of Gilbert, AZ., Curtis Peggy Cassner of Naples, FL., Brian Lori Cassner of Hillsboro and Eric Cassner of Lynchburg, great grandchildren, Jonathon, Justin, Bruce, Kelley, Abby, Aaron and William.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2002 at 1:00 P.M. at the Hillsboro 1st. Presbyterian Church with Rev. Maurice G. Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Monday from 2:00 till 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
