Alvin C. Willoughby, 86 years of Sardinia, died Friday, February 17, 2006 at the Ohio Valley Manor in Ripley.
He was born in Waynesville, Ohio on September 13, 1919 the son of the late Arthur and Leona Simpson Willoughby.
He was a member of the Fincastle Baptist Church and F&AM.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Donald Ray Willoughby, one daughter, Barbara A. Hiatt, and one grandson, Glennie Thompson.
He is survived by his wife, Marie McCulley Willoughby of Sardinia, sons and daughter-in-law, Alvin S. and Connie Willoughby of Felicity, Michael Purcell of Taylor Mill, Kentucky, daughters and sons-in-law, Patty Goldizen of Cincinnati, Linda Hartke of Taylor Mill, Kentucky, Jeannie and John Parker of Butler, Kentucky, Melissa and Rob Blythe of Seaman, Judy and Robert Grant of Dry Ridge, Kentucky, Margie Ann Purcell of Winchester, Donna Mae Willoughby of Chicago, thirty grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 19, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. at the Fincastle Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Crank officiating. Burial will follow in the Fincastle Cemetery.
Friends may call on Saturday from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Bradford-Sullivan Funeral Home in Winchester.
