Amber D. Smith, 16 years of Leesburg, died Sunday, September 28, 2003 as the result of an automobile accident.

She was born in Hillsboro, Ohio on March 4, 1987 the daughter of Joseph Henry Smith, Jr. and Beverly George.

She attended the Leesburg United Methodist Church and the Hillsboro Church of the Nazarene. She was a sophomore at Fairfield High School and was looking forward to the High School plays this year. She was her own person, had a big heart, loved everybody, liked to help other people, was a counselor this summer at Kamp Dovetail, and was the greatest aunt any kid could ever have. Her goal in life was to become a social worker for under privileged kids.

She is survived by her mother and step father, Beverly and J.D. LeMaster of Leesburg, father, Joseph Henry Smith of Highland, maternal grandmother and grandfather, Marjorie and Richard Greene of Hillsboro, maternal step grandmother, Carol LeMaster of Chillicothe, brothers and sisters-in-law, Chad and Heather George of Leesburg, Tom and Renae Smith of Leesburg, Jeff and Bonnie Smith of Highland, Kevin Smith of Highland, Tony Smith of Leesburg, Bradon LeMaster of Chillicothe, and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. at the Hillsboro Church of the Nazarene. Burial will follow in the Sugartree Ridge Cemetery.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
