Amelia Hughes, 91 years of Xenia, passed away Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at Greene County Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Eliot, Maine on April 3, 1919 the daughter of the late Wilbur and Florence Shapleigh Rogers.
Amelia attended the A-Hop Church.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Hughes, who passed away on August 24, 2002.
She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law; Sharri and Sherm Thatcher of Xenia, three grandchildren; Vicki, Sherman, and Tim, nine great grandchildren; Rachel, Mackenzie, Landon, Lindsey, Nick, Shermie, Dusty, Preston, and Katie, several nieces, nephews, and cousins, and many friends at Wright Cycle Estates.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 3, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Dave Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call on Monday from 12:00 till 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Avenue Dayton, Ohio 45420.
