Anderson P. Pete Lemley

Anderson P. Pete Lemley, 76 years of Hillsboro, died Thursday, April 29, 2004 at his residence.

He was born in Gallia County, Ohio on March 18, 1928 the son of the late Homer and Thelma Tennet Lemley.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict. He retired in 1990 after thirty-three years of service at A.E.P. He was a member of the Hillsboro Bible Baptist Church, Past Master of Highland Lodge #38 of Hillsboro, Hillsboro Chapter #40 Royal Arch Masons, Hillsboro Council #16 Royal and Select Masons, Highland Commandery #31 Knights Templar, Hillsboro Chapter #441 Order of Eastern Star, Past Presiding Officer of the York Rite Bodies of Hillsboro, and Knight York Cross of Honor.

Beside his parents he was preceded in death by his twin brother, Andrew Lemley, and brother, Johnny Lemley.

He was united in marriage on July 31, 1971 to Alice Moon Lemley, who survives. He is also survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Mark Anderson Lemley of Northglenn, Colorado, Vernon Bud Page of Hillsboro, Verl and Deborah Page of Highland, Dean and Brenda Page of Leesburg, daughters and son-in-law, Vicky Shideler of Harriett, Ohio, Valarie and Mark Ray of Harriett, brother and sister-in-law, Bud Lawrence and Doris Lemley of Middleport, Ohio, sister-in-law, Betty Lemley of Huntington, West Virginia, fifteen grandchildren, and one great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, May 3, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. at the Hillsboro Bible Baptist Church with Dr. D.R. Lamb officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the Highland County Honor Guard.

Friends may call on Sunday from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro, with Masonic Services Sunday at 7:30 P.M. The body will lie in state Monday from 1:00 till time of service at 2:00 P.M. at the Hillsboro Bible Baptist Church.
