Anna B. Ladd, 87 years of the Rainsboro Community, died Tuesday, May 27, 2003 at her residence.
She was born in Pike County, Ohio on May 24, 1916 the daughter of the late Monford and Alma Cook Locke.
She was a member of the Rainsboro United Methodist Church, the Bainbridge American Legion Post #14 Ladies Auxiliary, and a life member of the Rocky Fork AMVETS Post #61 Ladies Auxiliary. She retired from the U.S. Shoe Corporation.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Jemima I. Spargur.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas J. Ladd, who she married on May 1, 1948, sons and daughter-in-law, Tom and Loretta Ladd, Jr. of Rainsboro, Damon Clark of London, Ohio, six grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, eight great great grandchildren, sister and brother-in-law, Janet and Dennis Reed of Washington Court House, special cousin, Geri McDonald of Greenfield, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 30, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Rev. Janie Shoemaker officiating. Burial will follow in the Rhoads Cemetery.
Friends may call on Thursday from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Clinton County, 61 E. Main Street, Wilmington, OH 45177.
