Anna Spilker

December 27, 1940 — August 28, 2013

Anna Spilker, 72 years of Hillsboro, passed away on Wednesday August 28, 2013 at the Highland District Hospital.

She was born in Pendleton, KY on December 27, 1940, the daughter of the late Raymond and Hazel Riley Hutchinson. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her brother William Hutchinson.

Anna and Dick had worked in the mission field since 1985, care givers for Hills and Dale, lived one year in Kentucky doing mission work, was a member of the Hillsboro First United Methodist church, received the Lifetime Achievement Award for American Red Cross in 2013 and was the creator of Our Daily Bread.

She is survived by her husband Dick Spilker, Sr. whom she married on February 5, 1960, son Richard Denise Spilker Jr. of Raleigh, N.C.; three daughters Catherine Dan Shupe of Milford, Jacqueline Chris Hopkins of Hillsboro and Leanna Matt Mullenix of Seaman, adopted daughter Darlene Ford of Hillsboro, two brothers, Ronald Hutchinson of Mt. Orab and Harold Joyce Hutchinson of Hillsboro; two sisters, Naomi Adams of Hillsboro and Wanda Bibbs of Northern, KY; eight grandchildren: Trisha Ann Mullenix, Charlie Sauer, Tiffany Joanna Hopkins, Eric Mullenix, Brittney Anne Spilker, Zachariah Daniel Shope, Kristy Brooke Hopkins and Jamie Ford and one great granddaughter, Margaret Sauer.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 P.M. Saturday August 31, 2013 at the Hillsboro First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.

Friends may call at 10:00 A.M. until time of service at the Hillsboro First United Methodist Church.
