Anne Martin, 79 years of Hillsboro, died Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at Heartland of Hillsboro.
She was born in Highland County on February 24, 1930 the daughter of the late Heber and Stella Kennedy Parshall.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Robert I. Martin on November 7, 2007, two sisters, Shirley and Phyllis and one brother, Billy Dale.
She was a member of the Hillsboro Church of Christ, Hillsboro Chapter #441 OES, Highland County Senior Citizens, New Market Homemakers Club, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Red Hat Society, Jr. Mother's Club, a lifelong seamstress, Anne worked at Litts until her retirement.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jeffry and Cathy Jo Martin of Hillsboro, one daughter and son-in-law, Jill and David Fauber of Hillsboro, two grandchildren, Nicholas Cathy Sue Fauber, Lindsay Brad Wildey, two step great grandchildren, Christian and Braden Wildey, sister June Krebs of Hillsboro, two nieces, Julie Krebs, Jane Mike Barnhart, two nephews, Jamie Mary Krebs, Tim Krebs and several great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, May 16, 2009 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro, with John Porter officiating. Burial will follow in the Buford Cemetery.
Friends may call on Friday evening from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home with Eastern Star Services at 7:45 P.M.
