Archie R. Moon, 82 years of Gainesboro, Tennessee, died Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at the Livingston Regional Hospital in Tennessee.
He was born in Rarden, Ohio on March 30, 1923 the son of the late Arch and Hazel Hoop Moon.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Kentucky Motorcycle Association.
Beside his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Cherry Moon, who passed away on June 28, 1989.
He is survived by his sons, Tony Moon of Louisville, Kentucky, Archie Moon of Louisville, Kentucky, daughters and sons-in-law, Hazel and Tim Rolph of Kountze, Texas, Lisa and Paul Christman of Hillsboro, Chantrell and Jim Kirker of West Union, several grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 10, 2006 at the convenience of the family at Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Dave Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery with military graveside rites conducted by the Adams County Honor Guard.
There will be no visitation observed.
