Arlie Baker, 69 years of Seaman, passed away Sunday, May 16, 2010 at Adams County Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Sandy Hook, Kentucky on November 22, 1940 the daughter of the late Frank and Sylvia Smith Sloas.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband; Daniel Boone Whitt, second husband; Joseph H. Baker, four brothers; Bernice, Frank, Jr., Berlin, and Ermie Sloas, and two sisters; Bessie Conley and Audrey Sloas.

She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law; Joseph and Patty Baker of Winchester, two daughters and sons-in-law; Anita and Daniel McCann of Seaman and Trina and Ryan Shaw of Winchester, three step sons and daughters-in-law; David and Tina Baker of Blue Creek, Keith and Jennifer Baker of Louden, and Dennis and Debbie Baker of Seaman, one step daughter; Peggy Ewing of Columbia, Indiana, two brothers; Merlin Sloas of Sandy Hook, Kentucky and Arlin Sloas of Goddard, Kentucky, two sisters; Merlie Moore of Cherry Fork and Evelyn Hyer of Flemingsburg, Kentucky, fourteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, one great great grandson, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 20, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Lewis-Sullivan Chapel in Seaman with Rev. Garry Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow in Tranquility Cemetery.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Lewis-Sullivan Chapel in Seaman.
