Audrey M. Snyder, 87 years , wife of the late Samuel C. Snyder, was born July 5, 1921 near Duck Run in Scioto County. She died November 13, 2008 in Chillicothe, Ohio.
She is survived by eight children, Samuel Daun Snyder of Hillsboro, James Rachel Snyder of Hillsboro, Oris H. Mary Snyder of Hillsboro, Thomas Janis Snyder of Hillsboro, Everett Lisa Snyder of Leesburg, Andrea Glenn Rehkamp of Oxford, OH, Ramona Timothy Mootz of Hillsboro and Mary Ann Chris Fulton of Hillsboro. She is also survived by her 21 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, brother, Joseph Williams, sister Selma Fred Shelpman and sister-in-law Alice Hayslip.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clinton B. and Lucille Massie Williams, sisters, Evelyn McDowell, Glenda Williams, Harriett Williams, brothers Billy Williams, John Williams, James Williams Doug Williams and one grandson Kenneth Charles Watson III.
She was a member of the Sugartree Ridge Church of Christ where she taught Sunday School for 35 years and was a Bible School Teacher. She and her husband Sam lived and farmed in the Sugartree Ridge Community for 58 years. She was a devoted wife and mother.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M., Monday, November 17, 2008 at the Sugartree Ridge Church of Christ.
Drue Lane will officiate with burial to follow in the Sugartree Ridge Cemetery.
Friends may call Sunday from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro, OH and at the church Monday from 10:00 A.M. until service time at 11:00 A.M.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sugartree Ridge Church of Christ, 2240 State Route 136, Hillsboro, OH 45133.
