Barbara Faye Newman 68 years of Hillsboro, died Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at Highland District Hospital.
She was born in Leitchfield, KY on December 12, 1940 the daughter of the late Robert and Louella Peckenpaugh Skeeters.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands Frankie Newman & Donald Smith, one grandson Terry Lee Everhart, two brothers, Jimmy Skeeters, John Skeeters, and one sister Linda McAfee.
She is survived by her husband, Sherman "Nick" Nichols of Hillsboro, one son and daughter in-law; Jeff & Laura Smith of Vine Grove KY, two daughters Crystal Albert Fry Fiancé Newman of Hillsboro, Donna Everhart of Leesburg, two sisters, Sharon Peterson of Louisville KY, Patricia Price of Hillsboro, seven grandchildren, Celerna Bowen, Shane Taylor, Aija Taylor, Zach Schmitz, Hunter Damron, Terra Lee Jade Fry, Sheyann Smith, and one great granddaughter Brianna Star Bowen.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 24, 2009 at 4:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. Wiley Perkins officiating.
Burial will follow in Hightop Cemetery.
Friends may call on Satday from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
