Barbara E. Pelfrey, 69 years of Peebles, died Saturday, May 22, 2004 at her residence.
She was born in West Virginia on September 5, 1934 the daughter of the late Norman and Virginia Bailey Smith.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Pelfrey, who passed away on April 6, 1996.
She is survived by two sons, James Pelfrey of Peebles, Richard Mayes of Virginia, two daughters and son-in-law, Kathryn Belcher of Peebles, Debbie and Jerry Burns of Peebles, three brothers, George Smith of West Virginia, Frank Smith of West Virginia, Bud Smith of West Virginia, twelve grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren.
Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles was in charge of arrangements.
