Barbara "Susie" F. Hammond

Barbara F. "Susie" Hammond, 78 years of West Portsmouth, OH., passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2022.

Susie was born March 12, 1944 in Highland County, OH., the daughter of the late Ira Robert and Mary Ellen (Jordan) Tong. Beside her parents, Susie was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Hammond on April 26, 2011; one grandson, Gary Howard; two granddaughters, Misty Spillman and Savahanna Mauk; one brother, Steve Tong.

Susie is survived by one daughter, Lisa Howard of West Portsmouth, OH., three sons, Doug Hammond, Dwayne Hammond, Danny Hammond all of West Portsmouth, OH.; 8 grandchildren, Jessica, Jeremy, Zachary, Austin, Dylan, Katlyn, Brooke, Levi; 7 great grandchildren, Halyn, Adalee, Allison, Kinsleigh, Delenna, Sawyer, Scarlett; one brother, Charles Robert "Bob" (Dianna) Tong of South Dakota; one sister, Malita Tong of Sinking Spring; nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Saturday, September 17, 2022 at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Spring.

Visitation will be held Saturday from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home.
