Beatrice M. Ferris, 94 years of Hillsboro, died Thursday, May 29, 2008 at the Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati.
She was born in Canada on August 26, 1913 the daughter of the late William A. and Laura Hill Meacham.
She was a member of the Hillsboro First Presbyterian Church, owned and operated Butler Mercantile Co. in Butler, Kentucky, for twenty-five years worked with husband, Phil, as a contractor and on the family farm. She had a love for music.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Philip M. Ferris, who passed away on May 9, 2008.
She is survived by her son, Martin Ferris of Rougemont, North Carolina, two daughters, Marilyn Ridgway of Redwood City, California, Rebecca Ferris of Cincinnati, two grandchildren, two great grandchildren, one nephew, and one niece.
There are no services scheduled.
Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro is in charge of arrangements.
