Betty Jean Beam, 81 years of Peebles, died Wednesday, January 12, 2005 at the Highland District Hospital in Hillsboro.
She was born in Peebles, Ohio on June 25, 1923 the daughter of the late Everett and Ethel Neill Simmons.
She was a school teacher at Peebles Elementary. She was a member of the Dunkinsville United Methodist Church, the Adams County Retired Teachers, the Manchester Order of Eastern Star Nathaniel Massie Chapter #548, and the U.S. Daughters of 1812.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Beam, who passed away on November 30, 1990.
She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Marib and Wayne Grooms of Winchester, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 15, 2005 at 1:00 P.M. at the Dunkinsville United Methodist Church with Steve Darby officiating. Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call on Friday from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles.
