Betty Bracken, age 84 of Peebles, passed away Thursday, January 22, 2015 at her residence.
She was born in Clayton, Ohio on August 7, 1930 the daughter of the late Raymond and Alma (Sininger) Barr.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John Bracken, who passed away on November 26, 1990; infant twin daughters, June and Julia; four brothers; one sister; and one son-in-law, Ron Porter.
Betty attended Locust Grove Faith Community Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Nadine Porter, Denise and Chuck Johnson, and Diana and Buddy Sowards all of Peebles; two sisters, Grace Grabill of Medway, Ohio and Nancy and Bill Evans of West Union; 9 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at Locust Grove Faith Community Church with Gary Brown and Phil Fulton officiating. Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the church.
Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles is in charge of the arrangements.
