Betty J. Burke, 75 years of Peebles, died Sunday, January 30, 2005 at the Clermont Nursing Center.
She was born in Dayton, Ohio on December 12, 1929 the daughter of the late Clarence and Nellie Weaver Bisher.
She was a member of the Peebles Church of God, Peebles Lioness Club, and the Hillsboro Eagles Aerie #1161. Betty and her late husband were the owner and operator of the Burke and Sons Sanitary Service, which she operated after her husbands death until her time of retirement.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Vernon Burke, who passed away November 2, 1975, and step father, Authur Crum.
She is survived by her sons and daughters, Fred and Lisa Burke of Chillicothe, Rick and Becky Burke of Peebles, daughters and son-in-law, Barb and Mike Purtee of New Vienna, Bev McFarland of Milford, Bonnie Burke of Peebles, half brothers, Bobby Bisher of Dayton, Billy Crum of Lawshe, ten grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 2, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at the Peebles Church of God with Ron Stephens officiating. Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles, with Lioness Service at 6:00 P.M.
