Betty Carter, 81 years of Hillsboro, Sinking Spring Community, died Friday, August 25, 2006 at her residence.
She was born at Dayton, Ohio on April 8, 1925 the daughter of the late James and Zola Brown Foltz
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by one brother James Foltz.
She attended the Sinking Spring United Methodist Church was a member of Hillsboro Chapter #441 Order Eastern Star.
She is survived by her husband Edward Lee Carter whom she married on January 12, 1946, one son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Lajunati Carter of Cherokee, North Carolina, one daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and David Arledge of New Holland, Ohio, two grandchildren, David Arledge II, of New Holland, Tony Judy Carter of Chillicothe, three great grandchildren, Logan Carter, Alexus Morrison and Brandon Morrison..
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at the Sinking Spring United Methodist Church under the direction of the Thompson Funeral Home with Greg Seaman officiating. Burial will follow with graveside services at 3:00 P.M. at the Linwood Cemetery at Russellville.
Friends may call on Saturday morning from 10:00 A.M. till time of service at 11:00 A.M. at the Sinking Spring United Methodist Church. Eastern star services will be held at 11:00 A.M.
