Betty Katherine Davis, 80 years of Hillsboro, died Sunday, November 9, 2008 at the home of her brother in Mt. Orab.
Betty was born November 24, 1927 at Hollowtown, Ohio, the daughter of the late Fred and Rose Vilvens Kirker. Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn "Whitey" Davis, one son, Kenneth Davis, two brothers, Delbert and Phillip Kirker and one sister, Ruth Honaker.
Betty was a member of the Bethlehem Church of Christ. She worked for several years at the Hercules Pants Factory in Hillsboro and retired from the Highland County Health Department, Home Health Care.
She is survived by one son, Richard Davis of Hillsboro; five grandchildren, Dawn Newman, Lisa Hall, Kandi McRoberts, Lena Strawmayer, Richard Davis; 11 great grandchildren; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Norma Kirker of Sardinia, Fred and Betty Kirker of Mt. Orab; nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
Tom Claibourne will officiate with burial to follow in the Union Cemetery near Taylorsville.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
