Betty J. Sheppard, 81 years of Sinking Spring, Ohio, died Monday, November 28, 2005.
She was born October 4, 1924 in Highland County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Carol and Vella Freeman Rhoads. Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Clyde Sheppard on February 21, 1991; one son, Robert M. Bob Sheppard on August 15, 2002; one sister, Arlie Puckett.
Betty was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, a graduate of Sinking Spring High School where she retired after many years of service in the cafeteria.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Mary P. Pat Sheppard of Sinking Spring; two granddaughters, Sara Nick Ewing of Sinking Spring, Jessica Luke Epley of Greenfield; three great grandchildren, Trea, Taylor and Trinity Ewing; one brother-in-law, Roy Puckett of Chillicothe; one niece, Rita Puckett of Chillicothe.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 1, 2005 at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Spring. Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 PM Wednesday at the
Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home.
