Betty L. Wagner, 73 years of Hillsboro, died Wednesday, March 13, 2002 at the Highland District Hospital in Hillsboro.

She was born in Glouster, Ohio on July 2, 1928 the youngest child of the late George and Grace Mason Smith.

She was a member of the Hillsboro Church of Christ, and the Order of Eastern Star Chapter #441. She was a 1946 graduate of East High School in Columbus. She worked many years locally as a secretary for South-Central Power, WSRW, and Highland Cable TV.

Beside her parents she was preceded in death by five brothers, and one sister.

She is survived by her husband, Richard Wagner of Hillsboro, who she married on March 10, 1959, daughter, Rebecca Wagner of Hillsboro, stepson, Rick Corrine Wagner of Acworth, Georgia, sister, Jean Colland of Columbus, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 18, 2002 at 2:00 P.M. at the convenience of the family at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with David Stokes and John Porter officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery.

Friends may call on Sunday from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home.
