Bill Campton, 88 years of Peebles, passed away Monday, January 11, 2010 at Adams County Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Peebles, Ohio on August 13, 1921 the son of the late William and Nelle Blackburn Campton.
Bill was a member of the Peebles Nazarene Church and was an Army Air Corp Veteran of World War II.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife; Marjorie Nichols Campton of Peebles, one son and daughter-in-law; William and Susan Campton, Jr., two daughters and sons-in-law; Bev and Bruce McCollum of Peebles and Kathy and Ted Grooms of West Union, four grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 15, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Larry Windle and Dave Hopkins officiating. Military Rites will be given by the Adams County Honor Guard. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.
Friends may call on Thursday from 6:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles.
