Bill Cassidy, 78 years of Peebles, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at his residence.
He was born in Pike County, Kentucky the son of the late Kyle and Lula Price Cassada.
Bill was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict, a member of the Peebles Masonic Lodge #581, a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Cincinnati, and the D.A.V.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife; Helen Cassidy, who passed way in November 1996.
He is survived by his wife; Eugenia Hawkins Cassidy of Peebles, whom he married on September 19, 2000, two sons and daughter-in-law; Rick and Phyllis Cassidy of Oakland, Florida and Doug Cassidy of Peebles, one daughter; Debbie Goad of Williamsburg, Virginia, one brother; Kyle Cassada of Dayton, three sisters; Viola McBride of Orlando, Florida, Myrtle Gardner of Dayton, and Stepherene Stokes of Springfield, Ohio, two step sons; Rob Hawkins of Cincinnati and David Hawkins of Williamsburg, one step daughter; Lynn Felts of Amelia, two grandchildren, and seven step grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 8, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Phil Fulton officiating with Military Rites given by the Adams County Honor Guard.
Friends may call on Friday from 11:00 A.M. till 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles.
