Billie Jane Smith, 85 years of Hillsboro, died Sunday, May 18, 2014.
She was born September 27, 1928 in Lee County, (Beattyville) KY., the daughter of the late Orlando and Grace Belle (Collier) Chambers. Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Lando Jean Chambers, three sisters, Rae Willis, Paula Stevens, Brackie Walker.
She was a member of the Folsom Community Church and the Hillsboro Chapter #441 OES.
She is survived by one daughter Grace Marie Smith of Saint Augustine, FL., one son Gary Gene Smith of Benton, WI.; four grandchildren Stephanie, Aaron, Travis, Shannon; 8 great grandchildren; one sister Patricia (Paul) Leach of Boston, KY.; three brothers Lowell (Carolyn) Chambers of Hillsboro, George (Jane) Chambers of Hillsboro, Eldon Roberds (Mary) Chambers of Earleton, FL.; mumerous nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
According to her wishes she was cremated. A memorial service will be held 7:00 P.M. Saturday, August 30, 2014 at the Union Chapel Church at Belfast.
Memorials may be made to Folsom Community Church, c/o Valerie Setty, 3099 U.S. Route 62, Hillsboro, OH 45133 or the Union Chapel Cemetery, c/o Joe West, 9161 Peach Orchard Road, Hillsboro, OH 45133 or charity of choice..
