Billy Wallace Helterbrand

Billy Wallace Helterbrand, 88 years of Hillsboro, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013 at his residence.
He was born in Hillsboro on February 2, 1925 the son of the late Elmer K. and Florence M. Reno Helterbrand. Beside his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Helen I. Helterbrand on December 5, 2010, one daughter Wanda Heaton, one sister, Mildred Turner; one brother, Eugene Helterbrand.
He was a member of the United Church of God in Portsmouth, a retired barber, dispatcher for the Highland County Sheriff Department, Navy veteran serving in WWII.
He is survived by one son and daughter in law, Billy and Darlene Helterbrand of Hillsboro; two daughters and son-in-law, Cindy and Rodney Bayless of Hillsboro, Juanita Doughman of Hillsboro; one son in law, David Heaton of Hillsboro; three sisters, Gloria Ford of Hillsboro, Edna Reynolds of Arkansas, Phyllis Burns of Hillsboro; one sister-in-law, Eleanor Helterbrand of Hillsboro; one brother in law, Ernest Turner of Hillsboro; fourteen grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at the Thompson Funeral Home with Frank Dunkle officiating. Burial will follow in the Helterbrand Cemetery with military graveside rites by the Highland County Honor Guard.
