Blanche F. Mathias, 95 years of Cherry Fork, died Monday, October 23, 2006 at the Winchester Elder Care.
She was born in Adams County, Ohio on November 11, 1910 the daughter of the late Edwin and Laura Wardlow Smittle.
She retired in 1975 after forty-five years at the Columbus and Southern Ohio Electric Company. She was a member of the Cherry Fork Presbyterian Church and the Morris-Baldridge American Legion Auxiliary Post #583.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Mathias, who passed away in 1998, and one sister, Esther Shupert.
She is survived by her step daughter, Vivian Gradisar of Pueblo, Colorado, sister-in-law, Pauline Mathias of Cherry Fork, nephew, Bob Beverly Mathias of Cherry Fork, three step grandchildren, and numerous other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at the Lewis-Sullivan Funeral Home in Seaman. Burial will follow in the Cherry Fork Cemetery.
Friends may call on Thursday from 9:00 till 11:00 A.M. at the Lewis-Sullivan Funeral Home.
