Bob Byers, 62 years of Peebles, died Monday, January 7, 2002 at the Adams County Hospital.
He was born in Vinton County on February 2, 1939 the son of Anthony and Juanita Barnett Byers.
He was a member of the Peebles Church of Christ in Christian Union and self empoyed Lumber Industry.
He is survived by his wife Wanda NixonByers whom he married on February 25, 1959, five sons and daughters-in-law, Mark and Iva Byers of Peebles, Brent and Dyanna Byers of Peebles, Perry and Bonnie Byers of Peebles, Tyrone and Kathy Byers of Zaleski, OH, Nicholas Byers of Peebles,
one daughter and son-in-law, Roberta and Larry McAtee of McArthur, two brothers and sister-in-law, Bruce and Mary Ann Byers of Newark, Harold Byers of Newark, one sister, Brenda Dicus of Hamden, OH, eleven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2002 at 11:00 A.M. at the Peebles Church of Christ in Christian Union with Dave Hopkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.
Friends may call on Wednesday evening from 6:00 till 9:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles.
