Bud Jones, 76 years of Jacktown Community, passed away Friday, October 21, 2011 at Adams County Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Peebles, Ohio on August 28, 1935 the son of the late Otto Ray and Anna Matheny Jones.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one son; Jeff Jones, three brothers; Ralph, Kenny, & Jimmy Jones, and one sister; Evelyn.
Bud was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam Era and also a member of I.U.E. Local #801.
He is survived by his wife; Teresa Boyd Jones of Jacktown Community whom he married on December 3, 1960, two sons; Kelly Jones of Peebles and Jimmy and Angie Jones of Waynesville, Ohio, one daughter and son-in-law; Susan and Tim Bogard of Hillsboro, one brother; Benny Jones of Peebles, four sisters; Louise White of Peebles, Betty Morrison of Cherry Fork, Ruby Castor of Milford, and Mildred Apanel of New York, ten grandchildren, and five great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Ray Matheny officiating. Burial will follow in Jacktown Cemetery.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 11:00 A.M. till 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles.
