Candus Gross, 80 years of Hillsboro, died Sunday, July 6, 2003 at the Highland District Hospital.
She was born at Breathitt County, Kentucky on December 11, 1922 the daughter of Alex and Nannie McIntash Johnson.
She had been a cook at the Highland District Hospital.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John Gross on April 2, 1993, one son and one grandchild.
She is survived by four sons, Harold Gross, of Hillsboro, A. John Gross of Hillsboro, Clifford Gross of Seaman, Keith Gross of Hillsboro, four daughters, Jean Carter of Hillsboro, Fannie Mae Bennington of Hillsboro, Michelle Kuhn of Sardis, KY, Kathy deLeon of Hillsboro twenty three grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday July 10, 2003 at 11:00 A.M. at the Bible Believers Baptist Church on 7011 Ervin Road in Hillsboro with Rev. Ron Harris and Rev. James Coffman officiating.
Burial will follow in the New Market Baptist Cemetery.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro and the body will lie in state at the church from 10:00 A.M. till time of service at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday morning.
Memorials may be made to the Bible Believers Baptist Church, 7011 Ervin Road, Hillsboro, Ohio 45133 or to Hospice of Clinton County, 61 E. Main St., Wilmington, Ohio 45177.
