Carl Barnhill, age 80 of Seaman, passed away Friday, May 9, 2014 at his residence.
He was born in Grayson, Kentucky on October 7, 1933 the son of the late Clifford and Ruth Justice Barnhill.
Carl attended Seaman Presbyterian Church where he served as a trustee and an elder; he was the owner and operator of Barnhill Hardware for 55 years, a past master of F&AM; a member of OES, Scottish Rite Valley of Cincinnati, and a former member of the Seaman Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Juanita Steen Barnhill of Seaman; three daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry and Mike Stout of Winchester, Judy Burns of Seaman, and Joyce and Jerry Hazlett of Seaman; two brothers and sister-in-law, Don and Clarene Barnhill of West Union and Bob Barnhill of Alabama; one sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and Lou Silva of Florida; 9 grandchildren, Craig and Kyle Stout, Tennille Laney, Josh, Chase, and Ashton Burns, Amie Gardner, Amber Hesler, and Carrie Schmidt; and 14 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. with cremation to follow at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Lewis-Sullivan Chapel in Seaman with Dr. Larry Hoop officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Leigh Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Lewis-Sullivan Chapel in Seaman.
