Carl Franklin, 77 years of Blanchester, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2013 at his residence.
He was born in Letcher, Kentucky on November 9, 1935.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Halcomb, mother, Thursa and Enoch Franklin, and two brothers, Ben Franklin of Wise, Virginia and John Franklin of West Union.
He is survived by his wife whom he married on December 3, 1955, Mildred Brown Franklin of Blanchester; two sons, Doug Franklin of Allensburg and Tim Lisa Franklin of Jackson; one daughter, Debbie Denny Odom of Blanchester; two brothers, James Halcomb of Williamsburg and Jack Franklin of Cherry Fork; three sisters, Ramona Maidment of Sharonville, Peggy Ayres of Manchester, and Janey Wilmoth of Milford; 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 27, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Bill Halcomb officiating. Burial will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 11:00 A.M. till 1:00 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles.
