It is with heartfelt joy and warm remembrance that we announce the passing of Carl W. Thompson, Jr., who transitioned from this world on December 19, 2024, at the age of 64. Born on September 10, 1960, in Cincinnati, Ohio, Carl spent his life in Hillsboro, Ohio, where he passionately pursued his career as a cook, sharing his culinary talents and love for food with all who had the pleasure of enjoying his meals. Carl is preceded by his father, Carl Thompson, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Roy and Ockela Richardson (Moran) Hines and paternal grandparents, James and Erma Sue (Roberts) Thompson; maternal great grandparents, Lawrence and Ollie Salle and paternal great grandparents, John and Lisa Hines.
Carl's spirit was defined by his love for animals and his deep devotion to his family. He found immense joy in spending time with loved ones and cherished every moment spent in their company. His kind heart and gentle nature will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
Carl is survived by his beloved mother, Brenda Thompson, whose unwavering support and love were a constant source of strength throughout his life; his brothers, Stephen (Tracy) Thompson of Loveland and John (Jennifer) Thompson of Lynchburg, nieces, Destiny (Eric Rowe) Thompson, Amy Poppaw and Breana Hunter, great nieces, Emma Bettle Thompson and Sophia Thompson-Rowe, uncles, Russell Thompson and Preston Moran, special friends, Arlene Cole and Jeff Bettle and many friends and cousins.
To honor Carl's vibrant spirit and celebrate the joy he brought to our lives, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
