Carlene Woods, 80 years of Hillsboro, died Thursday, July 17, 2008 at the Highland District Hospital in Hillsboro.
She was born in Marshall, Ohio on January 27, 1928 the daughter of the late Carl H. and Ruth E. Woolard Cary.
She managed Troy Hardware and Handyman Hardware in Dayton. She was a member of the Marshall Presbyterian Church, West Milton O.E.S. Chapter 132, Southern Ohio Genealogy Society, and loved flowers and gardening, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Russell Woods, who passed away on July 5, 1988, and one sister.
She is survived by son, William R. "Randy" Woods of Hillsboro, daughter and son-in-law, Ann and David Smith of Troy, two grandchildren, Denise Mark Scheck of Lodi, Ohio, Aimee Joel Eckstine of Seville, Ohio, great grandchildren, Samantha, Leah, Alexis, Ashley, and Lucie, and niece, Nancy Jean Walker of Ocala, Florida.
Graveside service will be held on Sunday, July 20, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at the Marshall Cemetery with Timothy Walker officiating. Burial will follow in the Marshall Cemetery.
There will be no visitation observed.
Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to Marshall Cemetery.
