Carolyn Blackburn

Carolyn J. Blackburn, 75 years of New Vienna, passed away Wednesday, March 1, 2023.

Carolyn was born August 6, 1947, the daughter of the late Glenn and Faye (Osman) Rhoades. Beside her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Jane Shumaker, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Charlie and Barbara Blackburn.

Carolyn worked at Robertshaw Controls and Town & Country in Hillsboro. Carolyn and Billy were antique car hobbyist, traveling all over to car shows. Carolyn loved music whether it was country, blue grass or rock n roll.

On August 8, 1975, Carolyn was united in marriage to Billy R. Blackburn who survives; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Charlie Shumaker of Adams County, Roger and Donna Blackburn of Dayton, Ellen and Dan Bales of Samantha, Martha and Richard Davidson of Clinton County; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday, March 6, 2023 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro.

Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Leesburg,

Visitation will be held Sunday from 2:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
