Carolyn L. Ray, 59 years of Hillsboro, died Monday, March 20, 2006 at her residence.
She was born in Lebanon, Ohio on October 2, 1946 the daughter of the late Harold "Dude" and Sarah "Sally" Butler Rittner.
She was a member of the St. Francis DeSales Catholic Church in Lebanon. She was a 1964 graduate of Lebanon High School, and graduated in 1988 from Antioch College. She was a Medical Technologist for Middletown Regional Hospital for thirty-three years.
Beside her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters.
She was united in marriage on September 23, 1972 to Keith Ray, who survives. She is also survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Darren and Kim Plessinger of Chillicothe, Daniel and Mindy Plessinger of Chillicothe, Keith Ray, II of Hillsboro, daughters and son-in-law, Kimberlie Thuney of Lebanon, Kathryn and David Landacre of Hillsboro, brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Pam Rittner of Lebanon, and twelve grandchildren, Addy and Alexandra Plessinger, Ollie, Emmi, Danielle, Benny and Happy Plessinger, Seth and Stephanie Thuney, Lacey Ray, and Nick and Corrine Ray.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 24, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at the St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father Mike Paraniuk officiating. Burial will follow in the Lebanon Cemetery with committal by Father Bernie Weldishofer.
Friends may call on Thursday from 5:00 till 8:00 P.M. at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro, with prayers to be held at 5:30 P.M.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5378-A Cox Smith Road, Mason, OH 45040.
