Carolyn M. Rhoads, 55 years of New Vienna, died Sunday, May 29, 2005 at the Highland District Hospital ER.
She was born in Highland County on August 7, 1949 the daughter of the late Carmon Taylor and Sarah Edna Lawwill Huddleston.
Beside her parents she is preceded in death by one daughter Patricia Ann Rhoads, three sisters, Lois Jean Shinkle, Bonnie Florence Throckmorton, Edith Irene Wright, three brothers-in-law, Jim Bowen, Tony Rhoads, David Wright, one sister-in-law, Bonnie Eversole, mother-in-law, Margie Potts, Father-in-law, Russell Rhoads..
She is survived by husband Walter Rhoads Sr., whom she married on August 28, 1968, one son, Walter Rhoads Jr. of New Vienna, one daughter, Debbie Huddleston of Wilmington, one brother and sister-in-law, Dickie and Marilyn Huddleston of Lynchburg, two sisters and brother-in-law, Marilyn and Kenny Rhoads of Burgoon, OH, Ruby Bowen of Hillsboro, two granddaughters, Aprille Stein, Jaci Smallwood, three grandsons, Dillion Huddleston, Dusty and Zachary Grimshaw, one great granddaughter, Audra Greiner, one great grandson, Isaiah Stein, brother-in-law, Donald Eversole of KY, four sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Betty Price, Marsha and Lester Deeter, Nancy Harperee, Tonya and Roger Rhoads, father-in-law, Jim Potts of Lynchburg, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 2, 2005 at 2:00 P.M. at the Hope Miler-Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. Wiley Perkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Dunkard Ridge Cemetery.
Friends may call on Wednesday evening from 6:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. at the Hope Miller-Thompson Funeral Home.
