Carrie Lou Vance, 70 years of Hillsboro, died Sunday, April 4, 2010 at the Highland District Hospital

She was born in Highland County on May 22, 1939, the daughter of the late Jack A. and Darline Hughes Zimmerman Dyer.

Carrie Lou was a member of the Hillsboro Church of Christ, Hillsboro Emblem Club, founding member of the Maridy Club and was an avid golfer, having won the women?s club championship at the Elks. Carrie Lou worked at the Highland Enterprise, Bainbridge Lumber Company and the New Van Company.

On October 12, 1958 she was united in marriage to Clifford Vance who survives. She is also survived by three brothers and sisters-in-law, Guy and Doris Dyer, Hugh and Anne Lou Dyer, Jerry and Carol Dyer all of Hillsboro, one sister Mary Ellen Hill of Frankfort, OH., several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro.

Rev. Harold Arthur will officiate with burial in the New Market Baptist Cemetery.

There will be no visitation.

Family requests memorials to the Highland District Hospital or Heartland of Hillsboro.
