Cecil L. Robertson

Cecil L. Robertson, Jr. 85 years of Hillsboro passed away on Thursday January 19, 2017 at his residence.
He was born in New Marion, IN on April 21, 1931, the son of the late Cecil and Lottie (Shepherd) Robertson. Besides his parents, he was also preceded by his wife, Maxine (Hottinger) Robertson of April 17, 2011, grandson, Doug Strevel and sister, Virginia Ruth Hay.
Cecil was a member of the St. Mary's Episcopal Church and served in the United States National Guard and in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.
Cecil is survived by four sons, Kenny Robertson of Las Cruces, NM, David (Janis) Robertson of Grove City, Jim (Alice) Wilson of Chillicothe and Mike (Colleen) Wilson of Ashville, two daughters, Merry Jane Wunsch of Hillsboro and Phyllis (Larry) Strevel of Hillsboro, three sisters, Lila Mae Grigsby of Madison, Alice Eileen Poynter of Indianapolis and Dolores Ann Kirby of Indianapolis,12 grandchildren, Terry (Nita) Paris of Leesburg, Travis (Jenifer) Paris of Leesburg, Misty (John) Lawson of Leesburg, Tell (Morgan) Wilson of Columbus, Tyler Wilson of Orient, Jenelle (Jared) Hohman of Findley, Tiffany (Robbie) Knight of Bloomingburg, Trevor Wilson of Findlay, OH, Autumn Brian Leonard of Wilmington, N.C., Christie Caswell of Grove City, Erin Goodpaster of Westerville, Matthew (Chelsea) Goodpaster of Westerville, 12 great grandchildren, Kortney Paris, Mackenzie Paris, Gracie Lawson, Taylor Lawson, Maguire Hohman, Greyson Hohman, Jasmine Knight, Katalyn Knight, Lucas Caswell, Liam Brown, Rowan Wilson and David R. Leonard and one great great grandson, Bentley Hauke.
Funeral Services will be 3:00 PM Monday January 23, 2017 at the Thompson Funeral Home. The Highland County Honor Guard will present military rites following the service.
Friends may call from 1:00 PM until time of service at the Thompson Funeral Home.
Donations can be made to the St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Hillsboro.
