Ceretea Bumgarner, 93 years of Peebles, passed away on Tuesday January 7, 2014 at the Highland District Hospital.
She was born in Highland County on April 17, 1920, the daughter of the late Samuel and Ruth Anna Patton Bumgarner.
Ceretea retired from the Highland County Board of Education where she worked for many years.
She is survived by her sisters Charma Glaze of Hillsboro and Marilyn Childress of Grand Rapids, MI, several nieces and their families.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday January 11, 2014 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial will follow at Marshall Cemetery.
Friends may call at 1:00 P.M. until time of services on Saturday January 11, 2014.
