Charles (Charlie) Breakfield, 87, of Hillsboro, formerly of Dayton, died on Friday, June 19, 2015 at his home.
He was born in Greene County, Ohio on May 28, 1928, the son of the late Orville and Georgia (Wintersteen) Breakfield.
He worked at United Trucking Service in Dayton, Ohio. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and farming.
He was married on October 7, 1950, to Joan Griffin, who preceded him in death in 2006. Also preceding him in death, one son, Mark Breakfield, one granddaughter, Rachel Forbes; two brothers, William and John Breakfield, three sisters, Patty and Jane Breakfield and Jean Kelley, six brothers-in-law, John Kelley, Eddie Shartle, Sonny Griffin, Robert Griffin, Gary Griffin and Gary Lauderman, and three sisters-in-law, Genny Breakfield, Beulah Martin and Ann Griffin.
He is survived by his son, Chuck (Jeannette) Breakfield of Riverside, OH, two daughters, Pat (Dave) Shively of Kettering, OH and Kay (John) Magee of Carlisle, OH; seven grandchildren; Glenn Forbes, Beth (Angie) Breakfield, Linnette Breakfield, Michelle Shively, Chris (Stephanie) Shively, Jacob Breakfield and Jacey Magee, seven great grandchildren; Mark, Ashton, Karter, Izabelle, Rachel, Matthew and Noelle, sisters-in-law, Virginia Breakfield, Evelyn Shartle, Mary Jo Griffin, Shirley Griffin, Lee Lauderman and Pam Spence, and brother-in-law, Marty Spence and numerous nephews, nieces, friends and neighbors.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday June 23, 2015 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with Pastor H. Scott Latimer officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Port William, OH.
Friends may call from 12:00 P.M. until time of service on Tuesday at the Thompson Funeral Home.
