People came from miles around to have their mowers serviced. Charles offered a friendly smile, conversation and unparalleled service-the kind of service that you can't find anymore. Most of his customers were not charged. He loved their friendship and to him that was worth more than money. The Whitewright Dairy Queen was his favorite place to eat and chat. He was a patron, faithfully, everyday for many years. The stories we have heard about Charlie could become a saga. Every person he met was touched by his kindness, grace and humors attitude. Charlie will live on for many years and generations. The stories he left were rich and will be told for a very long time. Even blossoming themselves into legends. Charlie was a good man.
