Charles Allen Murph Murphy

Allen "Murph" Murphy, 76 years of Hillsboro, died Friday, March 11, 2011 at the Laurels of Hillsboro.
He was born in Adams County, Ohio on March 31, 1934 the son of the late Jesse T. and Agnes B. Stansberry Murphy. Beside his parents he was preceded in death by two sons, Wade and Craig Murphy, one daughter, Melissa Murphy and one brother-in-law, Ralph B. "Pat" Smith.
He was a member of the F. O. E. Aerie #1161 Hillsboro, AMVETS Post #61 Hillsboro, VFW Post # 9094 Hillsboro, American Legion Post #14 Bainbridge, American Trapshooting Association. Murph retired from Ohio Bell/A.T.& T. after 35 years of service.
He is survived by his wife Barbara Gibson Murphy whom he married on June 4, 1965, one son Tim Murphy of Hillsboro, two daughters and son-in-law, Stacey Royster of Latham, Kim and Randy Farra of Leesburg, one sister Madonna Smith of Hillsboro, eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at the Marshall Cemetery with Dean Huffman officiating. Thompson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
There will be no visitation
