Charles E. Sambo Newkirk, 70 years of the Elmville Community, died Thursday, August 28, 2003 at the Highland District Hospital.
He was born June 15, 1933 in Elmville, the son of the late George E. and Ida Blair Newkirk.
He is survived by one sister and brother-in-law Ann and Paul Turner of Elmville, one nephew Eddie Tracy Turner of Elmville, one niece Barbara Mike Sandlin of Elmville, one great nephew Jared Sandlin of Elmville, three great nieces, Stephanie Ryan Stephens of Elmville, Brooke and Taylor Turner of Elmville, one great great niece Molly Ann Stephens, two aunts, Pearl Wilkins and Annabelle Garman of Hillsboro.
Graveside services will be held 2:30 PM Saturday, August 30, 2003 at the Dunkard Ridge Cemetery.
Friends may call Saturday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Spring.
Memorials may be made to donor?s favorite charity.
