Charles Ralph Shoemaker, 78 years of Hillsboro, passed away Friday, January 25, 2013 at his residence.
He was born in Highland County on December 08, 1934 the son of the late A.L. and Martha J. Dixon Shoemaker. Beside his parents he was preceded in death by his wife C. Pauline Shoemaker on August 27, 2011; one brother, Raymond Shoemaker; one sister Mary Martha Davies,
He was a member of the Marshall United Methodist Church and had retired from Ohio Bell.
He is survived by his daughter & son-in-law, Cheryl Shoemaker and Michael Rhodes; two brothers-in-law & sister-in-law, Ferris & Patty Cummings of Hillsboro, John Cummings of Hillsboro; four sisters in law & Barbara & Sam Colliver of Hillsboro, Shirley & Richard Matthews, of Jamestown, Dr. Mary Lou & John Patton of Media, PA, Maggie Shoemaker of Mt. Sterling, OH; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at the Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. Janie Shoemaker and Rev. Debra Ketcham officiating. Burial will follow in the Marshall Cemetery.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 11:00 AM till time of service at 1:00 PM at Thompson Funeral Home
